Jai Mangal Kanojiya

Jai Mangal Kanojiya is an Indian politician and a member of 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh of India. He represents the Maharajganj (Assembly constituency) in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.[1][2]

Early life and education

Kanojiya was born 3 February 1976 in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh to father Gabbu Prasad Kanojiya. In 1996, he married with Sunita Kannaujia, they have one son and three daughters. He belong from Scheduled Caste (Dhobi) community. He is Literate in education. He is a agriculturist by profession.[3][4]

Political career

Kanojiya started his journey in politics with 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh (2017) elections, he got ticket by Bharatiya Janata Party and he elected MLA from Maharajganj (Assembly constituency) by defeating Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Nirmesh Mangal by a margin of 68,361 (27.95℅) votes.[5]

Controversy

In April 2018, a video viral of Kanojiya's in which he was seen playing gambling and drinking at Tiger Resort casino in Rupendahi district of Nepal. Tiger Resort also famous for consumption of foreign women's body trade and Indian old notes.[6][7]
