J. Robertson (footballer)
J. Robertson was a Scottish footballer who played in The Football League for Accrington.[1] Jim Bonar had not scored since he played the opening League game on 08-Sep-1888 so, the latter was dropped and J Robertson replaced him at Inside Forward. J Robertson made his debut at Thorneyholme Road, Accrington against Burnley. All went well and Accrington won 5-1 but Robertson didn't score. The next 2 games were lost and drawn and Robertson did not score so he was dropped and never played League football again.[2]
