J. Doyle Penrose
James Doyle Penrose RHA JP (9 May 1862 – 2 January 1932) was an Irish painter.[1][2]
Penrose was appointed a deputy lieutenant of Cambridgeshire on 15 October 1903.[3]
He married The Hon. Elizabeth Josephine Peckover, the daughter of Alexander Peckover, 1st Baron Peckover, a wealthy Quaker banker. His wife died in 1930. They had four sons; Alexander Peckover Doyle Penrose, Lionel Penrose, Roland Penrose, and Bernard 'Beakus' Penrose.
