On 13 September 2014, Habazin lost via unanimous decision in a unification fight for the undisputed welterweight championship against Cecilia Brækhus.[5]

On 6 August 2019, it was confirmed that Habazin will meet Claressa Shields on 5 October for the vacant WBC Diamond and WBO junior middleweight titles. The fight will take place at the Dort Federal Event Center in Shields' hometown of Flint, Michigan. [6] The fight was postponed due to Habazin's trainer being attacked at the weigh in. [7]
