Ishwor Ballav

Ishwar Ballav (Nepali: ईश्वरबल्लभ, 11 July 1937 22 March 2008) is one of the most influential Nepali poets.[1] He is also a poet of a new dimension–the third dimension–meaning Tesro Ayam in the history of Nepalese literature. He, along with his contemporaries Bairagi Kaila and Indra Bahadur Rai, formed a trio in 1963 in Darjeeling to rethink and evaluate the development of Nepalese literature.

gollark: And even then it still has some weirdness.
gollark: Datetimes are very hard. AutoBotRobot has to do a bunch of stuff to make it do even roughly what people expect.
gollark: Although it does rely on JSON for encoding queries and sending results back, I guess.

Analisis of Iswar Ballav's poems, especially his poetry collection "Agaka phul hun, agaka phul hoinan' (Kathmandu, 1974) is given in the book in the Russian language "Man, Society, Religion in Modern Nepali Poems" ("Nauka" Publications. Moscow, 1985) by Russian scholar Lyudmila Aganina. She gives in her book the main theme of the Nepalese literary movement "TESRO AYAM" ('Third Dimension"). - Krishna Prakash Shrestha
