Isabel Sánchez Montenegro

Isabel Sánchez Montenegro (1961 - 4 June 2020) was a Spanish politician of the Galician Nationalist Bloc.[1]

Biography

She was born and educated in Lugo, and specialized in social sciences and early childhood education. She was a primary education teacher in Monforte de Lemos.

Since 1984 she worked in different villages of Lugo: A Mariña, Monterroso, Quiroga, Antas de Ulla, Chantada and Monforte de Lemos, where she lived for twelve years. Since 2007 she was Councilor of Environment, Education and Youth of the Monforte de Lemos municipal government. She was a member of the BNG local council in Monforte and later a member of the BNG regional council (South Lugo area). She was elected member of the Parliament of Galicia at the 2009 Galician regional election.[2]

She died in Monforte de Lemos on 4 June 2020, aged 58.
