Isaac Wright Jr.
Isaac Wright Jr. is a licensed lawyer in the state of New Jersey. The ABC show For Life is based on his life.
Bio
Isaac Wright Jr. was wrongly convicted on drug charges in New Jersey and sentenced to life in prison in 1991 under New Jersey's drug kingpin laws. While incarcerated in prison, he worked as a paralegal and helped to overturn the wrongful convictions of twenty of his fellow inmates, before finally proving his own innocence.[1][2][3] After being released from prison he graduated from college at Thomas Edison State University in Trenton and eventually law school at St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami. He graduated in 2007 and passed the bar in 2008. After a nine year investigation into his character the New Jersey Bar Association's Committee approved his application.[4]
Before his arrest, Isaac Wright Jr. worked as a music producer for the 1980's group The Cover Girls which featured his wife Sunshine Wright as a vocalist.[1]
