Irai Leima
Irai Leima (Meitei: ꯏꯔꯥꯏ ꯂꯩꯃ) or Ereima (Meitei: ꯏꯔꯩꯃ) or Hiyangthang Lairembi (Meitei: ꯍꯤꯌꯥꯡꯊꯥꯡ ꯂꯥꯏꯔꯦꯝꯕꯤ) is the Meitei goddess of water and aquatic life in Meitei mythology and Sanamahism (Meitei religion), whose spirit dwells in the famous Hiyangthang Lairembi Temple according to common legend.[1] Due to the temple being her famous abode, it serves as the greatest pilgrimage site for her devotees in Manipur.[2][3]
