International European University

International European University (Ukrainian: Міжнародного європейського університету[1]) also known as IEU is a Kyiv based multi-campus higher learning institution, which is considered one of the modern & highly accredited university of Ukraine. The university was initially for Ukrainian citizens, later the university decided to accept foreign students as well.

As one of Ukrainian's advanced institution & accreditation by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, degrees of all educational levels issued to domestic and international students are approved & apostilized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ukraine.[2]

School of Medicine of International European University is listed in the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE), International Medical Education Directory (IMED) which allows graduates of IEU to appear in all licensing exams & pursue clinical residency and postgraduate doctoral programs in all European & other countries as well.[3]

International Partners & Cooperations [6][7][8]

Currently, International European University is working on joint programs with foreign universities and research institutions with more than 36 countries like USA, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Russia, Austria, Moldova, Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Armenia, China, Georgia, Belarus and others. In order to support international students, cultural exchange and diverse cultural activities, the University actively cooperates with Ukrainian embassies abroad and with foreign embassies and consulates in Ukraine.

The department of International cooperations is actively working to integrate the University into the world of scientific research & educational space, promoting research collaborations, international academic mobility, targeted work with international institutions & organizations and their offices in Ukraine by enhancing academic, scientific and cultural cooperation. One of the main objectives of the international department is to recruit international professors, academic and administrative staff and students – from undergraduate to doctoral level & establish a welcoming atmosphere to help foreign professors & students at university.

International European University has recently joined Research For Life, which brings together five international programs: Hinari (Health Research), AGORA (Agricultural Research), OARE (Environmental Research), ARDI (Development and Innovation) and GOALI (Research for Global Justice).[9]

The University has also signed a Memorandum on establishing and developing an educational & research network for recognition & accreditation of foreign educational qualifications.

Student Life

International European University offers opportunities for local & foreign students to participate in academic & extracurricular activities. Study tours to industries & organizations are arranged, guest speakers from renowned institutions are invited.

Clinical electives in other European countries for medical students are also arranged by the European School of Medicine.

Sports Complex[15]
Sports Complex - International European University

The university has sports halls for physical education, physical therapy, ergo therapy & sports sections. There are two sports complexes available for students’ services and for organizing and conducting sports competitions. These complexes are located in the University premises at the following addresses: Kyiv, 1 Butlerov Academic Street; and Kyiv, 16 Stepan Bandera Avenue. Sports halls are equipped for sports training & competitions for basketball, volleyball, mini-football, big tennis, athletic gymnastics, table tennis, martial arts and more. These complexes are partially equipped with treadmills, a long jump pit, pillars, and a volleyball court.

University Hostels[16]

International European University provides quality hostels to local & foreign students while studying at the school. The University has 4 hostels near the campus having all necessary facilities. Every hostel has separate study halls, gyms & libraries.

Catering Complex[17]

University hostels have dining rooms and buffets. The dining rooms offer a wide selection of traditional dishes of Ukrainian region: vegetable salads, borscht, boiled, fried, stewed potatoes, porridge, soups, meat and fish dishes, kinds of cheese, dumplings, ravioli, pancakes and more.

But since there are many people from other countries among the University contingent, they also manage to provide some foreign dishes & cuisines. Kitchens are also attached with rooms at university hostels for self cooking.
