Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India)

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India)[1] (IME India) is the Professional Body for Mechanical Engineers in India. It was founded in 1914 to advance and update knowledge, business & practice of mechanical engineering professionals.

The Institution's headquarters is in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

Examinations

As a part of its mandate IMEI conducts biannual examinations in multiple subjects:

  • Technician Engineers Part-I and Part-II
  • Automobile Technician Engineers examination Part-I and Part-II
  • Production Technician Engineers Part-I and Part-II
  • Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technician Engineers Examination Part-I and Part-II
  • Section A and Section B of Associate Membership (also known as Chartered Engineers)

These examinations are recognised by Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India

gollark: Well, as far as I know AMD stuff often offers more computing power and VRAM per $. Which is what you want, yes?
gollark: AMD cards tend to have lots of VRAM and compute. Sadly they don't make Radeon 7s any more, that'd be perfect.
