Indian Orthodox churches
The Indian Orthodox churches are the Christian churches of India belonging to the Oriental Orthodox tradition. They are:
- Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, an autocephalous Oriental Orthodox church based in Kerala, India.
- Brahmavar (Goan) Orthodox Church, split from the Catholic Church in 1889 and joined the Malankara Church
- Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, part of the Syriac Orthodox Church
- Mar Thoma Syrian Church, split from the Jacobites in 1899; they currently consider themselves as a Protestant oriental church, and established an communion with the Anglican faith
- Malabar Independent Syrian Church, independent since 1772, and also established an communion with the Anglican faith
