Chase Garbarino

Chase Garbarino is a media entrepreneur originally from Duxbury, Massachusetts and currently residing in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Hamilton College where he co-founded CampusWord.

After graduation, Chase went on to found Streetwise Media, with Kevin McCarthy. Streetwise Media operates BostInno, Boston’s fastest growing online media property, and InTheCapital, launched in Washington, D.C. in January 2012.[1]

Ventures

Chase co-founded CampusWord when he was a junior at Hamilton College along with Greg Rogan and Kevin McCarthy. It was a national collegiate publication involving over 200 writers and editors from over 100 top colleges and universities in the country. The website reached 100,000 unique page views a month.[2]

Chase and Kevin McCarthy created BostInno in 2008 in Boston, Massachusetts as a blog hosted on WordPress. In 2009, they relaunched the site as a news platform, building it into a source for fast-paced coverage of local innovation in tech, startup, city, higher education, and sports by 2010.[3]

In 2015, Chase co-founded VentureApp with co-founders Jared Stenquist, Greg Gomer, Boris Revsin and Kevin Mccarthy [4]

InTheCapital

In January 2012, Streetwise Media launched its second property following the BostInno model, InTheCapital, in Washington, D.C.
