Previously, he was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from May 2013 to May 2018. Prior to that he was a Government Official, serving as a Senior Clerk. A pure politician, he tries to belittle the bureaucracy even though he was at the least levels of Government, termed as an inefficient and incompetent official. Most recently he stated that Secretaries come and go, however, it is that political parties come and go, but Bureaucrats stay on as stated by Quaid-e-Azam.

Political career

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Sindh as a candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from Constituency PS-11 (Shikarpur-I) in 2013 Pakistani general election.[1][2][3][4][5]

He was re-elected to Provincial Assembly of Sindh as a candidate of PPP from Constituency PS-7 (Shikarpur-I) in 2018 Pakistani general election.[6]

On 5 September 2018, he was inducted into the provincial Sindh cabinet of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah[7] and was appointed as Provincial Minister of Sindh for Energy.[8]
