Impatiens repens

Impatiens repens, the Ceylon balsam or yellow impatiens, is a low growing and creeping tropical herb from Sri Lanka. This plant can be found in wet-zone rain forests of Sri Lanka. It has yellow flowers and small leaves borne on red stems. Now this plant can be seen cultivated in gardens as an ornamental plant. Parts of this plant are used in Sri Lankan traditional medicine for treating epilepsy.
