- The place was formerly called Igot, named after the edible green flavorful fruit of the orchard tree Malaigang (Eugenia Calubcob) [Tramp 1995,255], when this was still a Sitio of Barangay Lico . It was elevated into barangay around 1980 and was named after former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos. - Celebrate fiesta every second week of October
