IRS4 encodes the insulin receptor substrate 4, a cytoplasmic protein that contains many potential tyrosine and serine/threonine phosphorylation sites. Tyrosine-phosphorylated IRS4 protein has been shown to associate with cytoplasmic signalling molecules that contain SH2 domains. The IRS4 protein is phosphorylated by the insulin receptor tyrosine kinase upon receptor stimulation.[4]

Interactions

IRS4 has been shown to interact with CRK[5][6] and NISCH.[7]

gollark: No, just slightly broken.
gollark: I can put together a demo of the infinite-scroll-list thingy, if anyone wants to experience true pain.
gollark: Even better/worse idea: no biomes, just a single page filled with overlapping egg sprites.
gollark: I would actually kind of want to use that, slightly.
gollark: And each letter is a tiny image, so no ctrl+F.
