I'll Leave My Heart

"I'll Leave My Heart" is a 2007 song by Cyndi Almouzni (or just Cyndi, formerly known as Cherie). It was produced by well-known Grammy award winning producer Brian Rawling. It was her entry to BBC's Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up contest to decide who would represent the United Kingdom at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki, Finland.

On 17 March 2007 Cyndi performed the song against competition from:

With Cyndi and Scooch getting the biggest votes, a sing-off was held between the two and Cyndi and Scooch returned to the stage for the final result. Terry Wogan announced the winner to be Cyndi while, simultaneously, co-host Fearne Cotton revealed the winner to be Scooch. After several seconds of confusion from both contestants, it was revealed that Scooch were the true winners. It was later revealed by the BBC that Cyndi had received 47% of the vote to Scooch's 53%.[2] The BBC later issued a written apology, blaming the blunder on "live TV".
