Hurricane Isidore (disambiguation)

Hurricane Isidore or Tropical Storm Isidore may refer to:

  • Tropical Storm Isidore (1984) - A moderate tropical storm that made landfall near Andros Island in the Bahamas and then crossed central Florida, causing USD$750,000 worth in damage
  • Hurricane Isidore (1990) - A category 2 hurricane that formed at an extremely low latitude, and travelled generally north across the central Atlantic Ocean never making landfall
  • Hurricane Isidore (1996) - A category 3 Major Hurricane which travelled north across the central Atlantic Ocean similar to the 1990 Hurricane Isidore, never making landfall
  • Hurricane Isidore (2002) - A major category 3 hurricane that struck western Cuba as a category 1 storm, then stuck the Yucatán as a category 3 storm. Isidore caused $330 million in damage and seven deaths.

After the 2002 season, the name Isidore was retired and replaced with Ike for the 2008 season. However, due to the extensive damage caused by the storm in that season, Ike was subsequently retired and replaced with Isaias for the 2014 season. However the name was not used that year, so it was first used in 2020.
