Horace H. Witherstine

Horace H. "H.H." Witherstine (April 2, 1852 October 2, 1924) was an American physician and politician.

Born in Herkimer, New York, Witherfield went to Fairfield Academy. Witherstine then moved to Rochester, Minnesota in 1872 and taught school. In 1884, Witherstine received his medical degree from Rush Medical College and returned to Rochester, Minnesota to practice medicine. From 1892 to 1895, from 1896 to 1897, and from 1902 to 1903, Witherstine served as mayor of Rochester, Minnesota. He also served on the school board. Withersyine also was editor of the Rochester Bulletin newspaper. From 1903 to 1910, Witherstine served in the Minnesota State Senate and was a Democrat. Witherstine died in an auto accident two miles north of Rochester, Minnesota while going on a house call.[1][2][3]
