HOPLON is a game developer and publisher, specialized in multiplayer/free-to-play games since its foundation in 2000. With headquarters in Florianópolis, Brazil, Hoplon is a global company, publishing games worldwide. Currently, Hoplon’s main project is Heavy Metal Machines, a car battle MOBA, which was officially launched on September 19, 2018, published in 73 countries on Steam. The company is part of Abragames (Brazilian Association of Electronic Game Developers).

Awards and Certifications

Since 2018 Hoplon has been certified as a Great Place to Work. [2] In 2018, the company received the FIESC Award for education for establishing professional development programs. [3] In 2018, the company also received the CERTI Ecosystem Floripa 2018 Award, for “Great Accomplishment of a Technology Company”, a Florianópolis Ecosystem Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award. Company History and Other Games Developed

Hoplon’s first major project was the Taikodom Space MMORPG, which was replaced for Taikodom: Living Universe. This game was discontinued in 2015. In 2014, the project for the Heavy Metal Machines game was initiated. The game was officially launched in 2018 [5]. Apart from the development of these two games, Hoplon also produced the game of the Mundo Canibal universe in partnership with the Piólogo Brothers and the developer IzyPlay. The game is called Apocalypse – The Party´s Over, and is inspired by the Beat 'em up games of the 90's. Hoplon has also published the APB Reloaded game in Portuguese in Brazil, developed by Reloaded Studios / GamersFirst and is an MMOTPS (third-person shooter) game, set in a contemporary urban setting. The game is no longer published by Hoplon.
