Herring Networks
Herring Networks Inc. is a San Diego, California, based media company. It was founded in 2003 by Robert Herring. Through its Herring Broadcasting division; the company owns and operates two cable networks: AWE Network (originally known as Wealth TV), an American lifestyle and entertainment cable network founded in 2004, and the conservative[1] One America News Network (OAN or OANN), a strategic partnership with The Washington Times[2] launched in 2013.
Herring is a self-described insomniac, who spent nights watching TV, eventually deciding to enter into the news business. His son, Charles, the company president, describes the elder Herring as a "news junkie".[3]
