Hermione Thompson is a British book editor.

Since becoming an editor, Thompson has published the works of Avni Doshi, Ekow Eshun, Sophie Mackintosh, Sarah Elaine Smith, Lara Williams and Rafia Zakaria.[2]

Mackintosh’s book The Water Cure was the first book that Thompson bought.[3][4] Thompson stated after reading the book, “The Water Cure is an astonishing novel: it unfolds seductively, like a dream (or a nightmare), yet speaks urgently to the concerns of our own world. It heralds the arrival of a radical new voice in literary fiction.”[5]

She has helped to edit many books, including: Shafak’s The Architect's Apprentice,[6] Claire Harman’s Charlotte Brontë: A Life,[7] Rachel Lichtenstein’s Estuary: Out from London to the Sea[8] and Lara Williams‘s Supper Club.[9]
