Project purpose

WCG screensaver, Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2

Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy studies the function of various proteins that are produced by the two hundred genes known to be involved in the production of neuromuscular proteins by modelling the protein-protein interactions of the forty thousand relevant proteins that are listed in the Protein Data Bank. More specifically, it models how a protein would be affected when another protein or a ligand docks with it.

gollark: Is there a way to make luarocks just pull a dependency from git instead of the repository?
gollark: ... why is the copy of moses on luarocks out of date? This is 3 annoying.
gollark: I looked at luadash, but it's not on luarocks. LuaFun appears to have had no development in 3 years.
gollark: I wish to program "functionally" in Lua. Anyone know of good FP libraries (with map/reduce/filter/whatever other useful table functions) for Lua (which are on LuaRocks)?
gollark: Since not everything supports unix sockets, I think this is fairly common.
