Early life

Prince Heinrich zu Fürstenberg was born in 1950 at Heilingenberg Castle in Seeheim-Jugenheim, Germany. He is the son of Joachim Egon, Prince of Fürstenberg and Countess Paula von Königsegg-Aulendorf.[1] He studied economics at university in Vienna.[2]

Personal life and family

In 1976 Prince Heinrich married his second cousin, Princess Maximiliane of Windisch-Graetz in Rome, Italy.[3][4] In 1977 their first child, Prince Christian, was born. In 1985 their second child, Prince Antonius, was born.[1] In 2010 his eldest son married Jeannette Griesel. His younger son married Matilde dei Principi Borromeo Arese Taverna in 2011.[5]

In 2012 he was added to the International Best Dressed Hall of Fame.[6]

Career

Prince Heinrich's father died in 2002, and he assumed the role as Head of the Princely House of Fürstenberg in 2011.[2][7] He owns and manages the family businesses, which include landholdings and beer brewing.[8] The Fürstenberg family are the second-largest forest owners in Germany. They were granted the right to brew beer in 1283 by Rudolf I of Germany, and have been in the business ever since.[4] In 2005 Prince Heinrich joined the Fürstenberg Brewery with Brau Holding International.[9]

gollark: This is obviously true for *some* stuff like mental maths.
gollark: Also if you're acting based on it.
gollark: Well, if you're arguing based on it, I think it would be useful to know.
gollark: Is this actually true?
gollark: I think the more interesting question is what it's actually doing at a high level, i.e. what algorithms the entire accursedly complex mess runs. There might be a relatively nice explanation which covers some parts.
