Heaviside Layer (Cats)

The plot of the musical Cats revolves around a tribe of cats vying to go to the Heaviside Layer, which is used as a metaphor for rebirth.[1] The concept and the corresponding song "Journey to the Heaviside Layer" are based on an unpublished poem fragment by T. S. Eliot.[2]
