Harry Bamford (footballer, born 1914)
Harry Frank Ernest Bamford MBE (8 April 1914 – 4 June 1949) was an English professional football left back and outside left who played in the Football League for Brighton & Hove Albion.[2]

Personal life
Bamford fought in Italy during the Second World War, held the rank of warrant officer and was twice mentioned in dispatches.[3][4] He was later awarded an MBE.[2]
