Harris Chan

Harris Chan is a Canadian speedcuber. He is known for being the first person to achieve a "non lucky" solve under 10 seconds. He has held the North American Record (NAR) for 3x3 speedsolve (single and average) 10 times; 7 times for average and 3 for single.[1] He currently resides in Thornhill, Ontario and is a PhD student at the University of Toronto. He graduated in 2011 from the International Baccalaureate Program at St. Robert Catholic High School with a 99.7% average, the highest average in the York Catholic District School Board.

He no longer holds any Canadian records.

Former national records

  • 3x3x3 speedsolve (single): 7.33 seconds
  • 4x4x4 speedsolve (single): 37.08 seconds
  • 4x4x4 speedsolve (average): 48.27 seconds

Surprisingly, Harris Chan is colorblind and uses bright stickers in order to distinguish between the colours on his cube.
