Background

The song was a hit for Gisele MacKenzie in 1955. with the orchestra conducted by Richard Maltby. As she was performing at the time on Your Hit Parade, this song became the first ever to be performed on Your Hit Parade by the artist who had the biggest selling recording. The biggest hit of MacKenzie's career, it peaked at number five on Billboard magazine's "Best Sellers in Stores" chart during the summer of 1955.[2]
