Hans-Peter Fischer
Hans-Peter Fischer (born July 10, 1961 in Freiburg im Breisgau) is a German Catholic priest. He was ordained 1989, and earned his doctorate in History of Christianity in 1995 at the University of Freiburg. In 2001 he graduated in Canon law at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He was Judge at the Ecclesiastical courts in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising (2001–2010) and Archdiocese of Freiburg (2004–2010). He is docent at Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome since 2013.[1]
He was appointed rector of the Pontifical Teutonic College of Santa Maria in Campo Santo in the Vatican near St. Peter's on December 8, 2010.[2]
He was named a prelate auditor of the Apostolic Tribunal of the Roman Rota on July 20, 2017.[3]
Fischer is a Knight Commander with Star of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
