Hamza Dirani
Hamza Dirani حمزة ديراني (born in Amman, August 16, 1982) is a Jordanian race car and kart racing driver. In addition to competing successfully in karting in Jordan, Lebanon, Dubai and Egypt, in 2005, he joined Meritus Racing to race in the Formula BMW Asia racing series and be the first Jordanian to participate in Formula Racing. He finished all his races in the top ten. He is also an entrepreneur, having established his own karting business in 2006.

Racing career highlights
Dirani began racing in 1997 with the Polaris ATV (All-terrain vehicle) race, in which he won the 1st place. In 2000, entered the Lucky Strike Karting Race, finishing 2nd. In 2001, in addition to successfully competing in several races, he was honored with an "Achievement Award for Best Novice Rally Driver" at the Jordan International Rally and Syrian International Rally on Volvo 244. In 2002, he entered several international competitions in England and Lebanon before attending the "Race of Champions" in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia by invitation of Abdullah Bakhashab. In 2003, Hamza decided to race in Karting again; he took all seven races at the Jordan Karting Championship, setting a new record for youth among champions of that event. In 2004, he took the Jordan Karting Championship again.
In 2005, Dirani joined formula racing, participating in several rounds of the Formula BMW Asia championship and finishing in the top ten. He also drove as a guest by invitation in the Formula Ford Championship at the Bahrain International Circuit. He has also continued successfully competing in karting, taking 3rd in the 2008 Middle East Karting Championship.
Business
In 2006, Dirani became the national official representative of Tony Kart. In 2007, he opened his own company Jordan Karting and organized the first Tony Kart Ramadan Challenge. The challenge was a series of 3 races during the holy month which was exclusively for Tony Kart drivers. There were more than 20 drivers registered in both classes, Seniors and Juniors. The business expanded to organize more races on the regional level. As a consultant to Creative Track, KSA, Jordan Karting organized the Saudi Federation Karting League in Riyadh then moved to Bahrain to run the FIA World Council Race.
Nicola Fanous, local rally champion for co-drivers, joined the team and took a major part in organizing the event. As for the technical team, Emile Azar, who was head mechanic in Dirani's racing team is now in charge of karts service and setup.
Now, Jordan Karting is the leader in the karting field in Jordan and became the official dealer for many brands, such as Birel, OMP, Rotax and many more.

Karting School
Dirani was always keen to share his experience with young drivers. Dirani Karting School has started in the summer of 2006 when the karting champion, Hamza Dirani and Jordan Speed Center teamed to coach young drivers.
