Born in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Hamka began his football career playing for Negeri Sembilan U19 team in 2017 at the age of 19, next year he been promoted to the Negeri Sembilan U21 before been promoted to the senior team.

Hamka was called up to the Malaysia U-22 for 2018 International U21 Thanh Niên Newspaper Cup in 2018.[3]
