It contains 29 described species and 39 subspecies[lower-alpha 1] classified in the following five genera:[lower-alpha 2]
- Cithaerias Hübner, [1819]
- Dulcedo d'Almeida, 1951
- Haetera Fabricius, 1807
- Pierella Westwood, [1851][lower-alpha 3]
- Pseudohaetera Brown, 1942
Notes
- But these estimates remain contentious, and at least 5 more species can be recognized based on the multispecies coalescent model as suggested by Matos-Maraví et al. (2019)
- According to TOLweb, Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms (Savela), Wikispecies, and nymphalidae.net Archived 8 December 2010 at the Wayback Machine which all seem to be based on Lamas, G. (2004).
- Markku Savela's Pierella page says this is invalid and the correct citation is Herrich-Schäffer, 1865, however no source is given for this conclusion and the LepIndex[1] (among other sources) consider Westwood, [1851] to be correct.
gollark: They have to split time on their radios between backhaul and actually serving clients, so you get horrible performance.
gollark: Do NOT range extenders, for various reasons.
gollark: OpenWRT is quite pleasant to use, in my experience.
gollark: You probably want to either have something which is explicitly an access point, or run custom firmware, because some "router" products might try and be too smart and operate a NAT.
gollark: What I would do is install routers in room 1 and 3 with Ethernet links to each other, install OpenWRT, operate them as access points with the same SSID, and use 802.11r stuff to make them work together nicelyish.
