Habitam Alemu

Habitam Alemu Bayih (born 9 July 1997) is an Ethiopian middle-distance runner specialising in the 800 metres.[2] She represented her country at the 2015 World Championships,[3] the 2016 World Indoor Championships where she was a finalist[4] and at the 2016 Olympics. She placed second in 1:59.14 at 2016 Qatar Athletic Super Grand Prix in Doha.[5] She ran her personal best 1:58.99 in the heats at the 2016 Olympics,[6] but was unable to match it and was eliminated in the semi-finals.[7]
