Gymnitae
In Ancient Greek warfare, the gymnitae /ˌdʒɪmˈnaɪtiː/ (Ancient Greek γυμνίται gumnī́tai; singular gymnites /ˌdʒɪmˈnaɪtiːz/: γυμνίτης gumnī́tēs, from γυμνός gumnós, "bare, naked") were extremely light infantry who acted as skirmishers and missile troops. They fought naked or nearly naked and consisted the lightest version of the psiloi.
