Gwalipa

Gwalipa was an Indian hermit-saint who lived during the 8th century AD. According to legend, Gwalipa cured the Rajput chieftain Suraj Sen of leprosy, and in gratitude, Suraj Sen founded the city of Gwalior in his name.[1]
