Guru Balakdas

Guru Balakdas (18 August, 1805 Giraudpuri, Raipur district, Central Provinces – 17 March, 1860 CE Aurabandha) was son of the founder of the Chhattisgarh Satnampanth, Guru Ghasidas.[1] Guru Balakdas' activities aroused the hostility of higher-caste Hindus, and he was murdered by Casteism feudalistic attackers at a rest-house in Aurabandha (near by Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh) while travelling to Raipur in 1860.
