Gudrun Lund

Gudrun Lund (22 April 1930 – 14 January 2020[1]) was a Danish composer. She was born in Copenhagen and studied music, German and English at the Copenhagen Conservatory. After graduating, she took a position teaching at the Copenhagen Day and Evening College of Education (KDAS).[2]

Lund began composing in 1975 at the age of 45. At that time she continued her studies in composition with Svend S. Schultz and Morgens Winkel Holm. In 1983-4 she studied at Hartt College of Music, University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut, USA.[3]

Works

Lund has composed over a hundred works in several genres. Selected compositions include:

  • Three Pieces for Horn
  • Piano Trio op. 67
  • Five Dialogues
  • Six Duos Op.40 for trumpet
  • Clarinet Trio for clarinet, viola and piano
  • Talks, op. 136 for flute, clarinet and bassoon (I. Learning something II. Politicians III. Sad news IV. Solving problems)

Her music has been recorded and issued on CD, including:

gollark: Well, the problem is this:- you only set `state` once at the beginning of the program- it's probably `true` then- it goes into the `if state == true` branch, which only sets the `txt` variable
gollark: Sandboxing is actually pretty hard if you want to make most existing programs work about the same (but sandboxed). But Firewolf doesn't really have that excuse.
gollark: There are probably other holes.
gollark: But the unsafe bits were *removed*, instead of safe bits being *added*, so eventually `openTab` got added and it didn't get updated and so you can now execute stuff out of the sandbox on advanced computers.
gollark: Specifically, for some foolish reason they allowed webpages to access `shell`, without unsafe functions like `run`.
