The Pine Gulch Fire was reported at approximately 10:38 am on August 10, 2020.[1][2]
On August 14, just 4 days after the fire had been first reported, it had already burned 13,441 acres (5,439 ha) while being 0% contained.[1] That same day, Colorado Governor Jared Polis visited the Incident Command Center for the fire.[3]
Current evacuations and closures
A section of I-70 between Glenwood Springs and Gypsum in Glenwood Canyon was closed on the night of August 10, 2020 and remains closed.[1][4]
