Graham Wardle

Graham Wardle (born September 6, 1986) is a Canadian actor, filmmaker and photographer best known for his role as Ty Borden on the CBC series Heartland.

Biography

Wardle was born in Mission, British Columbia and was raised by his parents and his five siblings in New Westminster, near Vancouver.[1][2] Wardle and his mother just happened to sit in a room without knowing it was for children waiting to audition. He auditioned and was selected for a toy commercial and went on to appear in a variety of TV shows, including The New Addams Family, Life as We Know It, and Supernatural.[3][4] Wardle studied at the Motion Picture and Production Program at Capilano University in Vancouver, where he participated in the creation of numerous films before graduating in 2007.

Career

In 2007, Wardle was in the movie In the Land of Women with Meg Ryan and Adam Brody.[5] That year, he was selected to play a leading role as Ty Borden in the CBC series Heartland. Wardle has appeared in nearly all the Heartland episodes and in A Heartland Christmas, a movie released in 2010.[2] In 2009 and again in 2010, he was nominated for a LEO Award for the episodes Summer's End and The Starting Gate. In between filming seasons, Wardle appeared in Rob Grant's horror zombie movie,Yesterday, which received rave reviews on the North American Festival circuit. He has also appeared in Mon Ami,[6] Supernatural[3] and Grave Halloween, an original movie made for Syfy Channel as part of its 2013 31 days of Halloween.[7]

Wardle has also produced movies. In 2012, he produced The Vessel with friends and Capilano Alumni as part of the Crazy 8's project.[8] He is a writer, a photographer and a film maker. In the summer of 2013, Wardle co-founded Lone Maverick, a Movie Production and Entertainment Company.[9] Lone Maverick is in the process of releasing its first movie "Cold Lights", with Wardle playing Sam Ross, a character that is abducted by aliens.
