Biography

Yáñez has always been influenced musically by his parents. He began to sing from a young age and before the age of 10 he had already edited two albums and also participated in a musical TV show on Channel 10 of his country while also completing his elementary school studies at Colegio Bartolomé Hidalgo. In 1995 he arrived to Chile, where he studied at Colegio Pedro de Valdivia de Providencia, Santiago, where along with some classmates he formed a band known as No Me Acuerdo. After finishing his studies, he began to take his musical career seriously and continued in his band until he separated from them in 2002.

Afterwards, he joined Los Prisioneros after Claudio Narea had left the band. As guitarist, he was part of the recording of the album "Manzana" and also toured with the band to various countries including Mexico, United States, and Canada.

Since 2010 he is a member of Jorge González's band along with Pedropiedra and Jorge de la Selva, who is also the godson of his son Julián.[1]

gollark: That would TECHNICALLY not involve ceasing your drinking. It would just be very slow drinking after some point.
