Golden Pouch[1] (Korean: 황금주머니; RR: Hwanggeumjumeoni) is a 2016 South Korean television series starring Kim Ji-han and Ryu Hyo-young. The series aired daily on MBC from 20:55 to 21:30 (KST).

Plot
Han Seok-hoon (Kim Ji-han), an outstanding doctor who was abandoned when he was six years old, returns to South Korea to find his real parents. On the day of his wedding, he meets with an accident and loses his memory. He believes the parents of Geum Seol-hwa (Ryu Hyo-young), an aspiring and passionate TV producer, as his real parents and stays with them while he recovers from his injury.[2]
He experiences for the first time in his life what it feels like to have a family and develops close ties with Seol-hwa's parents who later take him in as their own son.
Meanwhile Seol-hwa finds herself falling in love with Seok-hoon. Will her love for him blossom?

Reception
During the Golden Pouch break, from February 6 to 15 due to MBC's "Special Program: Vetting the Presidential Nominees", Ryu Hyo-young scandal broke out, which lead to viewers demanding Ryu to step down from the series.[4] However, MBC stated that there have been no talks about Ryu stepping down from her role in the series.[5]
