Go Yoo-min

Go Yoo-min (Korean: 고유민; 9 February 1995 – 31 July 2020) was a South Korean professional volleyball player for Suwon Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate.[1][2]

Biography

Go Yoo-min started playing volleyball from the 6th grade in elementary school. She won the 2013 CBS Cup nationwide volleyball competition when she was at the Daegu Girls' High School. With the help of this victory she started playing professionally with Suwon Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate in 2013. With the team she won the V-League in the 2015-16 season and won twice the KOVO Cup in 2014 and 2019. In March 2020 she left the team herself and stopped playing volleyball. Only several months later Go Yoo-min died of an apparent suicide at her home in Gwangju, Gyeonggi on 31 July 2020, aged 25.[2]
