The length of the forewings is 5.6-5.8 mm. The forewing colour consists of dark brown intermixed with pale brown scales mostly on the basal half near the cell. The discal cell has a faint spot near the apical end and the marginal scales are dark brown. The hindwings are pale brown.
Etymology
The species name refers to the color of the species and is derived from Latin brunneus (meaning brown).[2]
