Cultivation

The hardy to between USDA Zones 7 -10.[2]

In general Gladioli prefer to grow in full sun and have plenty of water during the growing season, but will still grow successfully in partial shade.[2] They can be grown in pots or garden borders. The corms should be planted in spring and the young growth should be staked (to stop toppling over). In autumn, the corms should be lifted out of the soil, and then stored in a cool, dry and dark place until next spring.[3]

gollark: It is weird and annoying that houses seem to get *more* expensive over time instead of less.
gollark: Apparently the disk has "Accumulated power on time, hours:minutes 69233:52" and was "Manufactured in week 18 of year 2012", making it in fact 9 years old and not 11.
gollark: I have no idea how the disk hasn't failed yet.
gollark: My server is verging on something like 11 years old now.
gollark: It works surprisingly well, apart from the viewing angles on the screen being awful, but it's always on my desk anyway.
