Backstory

Giggle, Giggle, Quacks is a sequel featuring the barnyard animals first seen in Cronin and Lewin's Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type.

Story

Farmer Brown decided to go on vacation while leaving his brother, Bob in charge of his farm animals. Farmer Brown tells his brother to follow instructions and everything should be fine. As Farmer Brown throws a little pencil on the ground, Duck finally shows up when Farmer Brown drives his car and thinks he hears giggles and snickers when he drives away, but Farmer Brown could not be sure. When Farmer Brown was driving away, Bob gives Duck a good long stare and goes into the house. After Duck makes a note, Bob is inside the house and reads the first note that says, "Tuesday night is Pizza night. (Not the frozen kind!). The hens prefer anchovies".

Twenty nine minutes and thirty seven seconds later, a pizza delivery man arrives on a bicycle selling hot pizza at Bob's Farm. That very night, Bob carried his lantern and walked outside to checked on his animals along with Duck, and everything was just fine. The next day, Bob reads the second note that says, "Wednesday is bath day for the Pigs, Wash them with my favorite bubble bath and dry them off with my good towels, Remember, They have sensitive skin". Then Bob washes the pigs in the bathtub in no time. Farmer Brown calls his brother on the telephone to check in and asks Bob to feed the animals like Duck wrote in the second note. After Bob finishes feeding the animals, he counted seven empty pizza boxes. Later, Bob asks his brother about the note about the pigs. Then Bob proudly starts taking care of and giving Duck a good long stare, but Duck was too busy sharpening his pencil to notice.

Then Farmer Brown suggests his brother to keep Duck inside the house because he is a bad influence on the cows. Pretty soon, Duck writes a third note that says, "Thursday night is movie night, It's the cows' turn to pick". Later that night, Bob was inside the kitchen popping corn while the animals sneak inside the living room to watch "The Sound of Moosic", when they hear the phone ring. Farmer Brown has called to check up on his animals, but he hears them giggling on the other end. He then realizes that his animals have done something they weren't supposed to and yells "DUCK!!!". The animals hear it from the other end, and Duck writes a secret message called "It's for you, Bob!". Upset at the animals, Farmer Brown immediately comes back early from his vacation.

gollark: This is hard to distinguish. You can "make things" on a personal computer and such nowadays.
gollark: Interesting! I'm glad that's been resolved.
gollark: Which is possibly true in a lot of cases because of general-purpose computing abilities being slowly eroded, and interesting online platforms lacking (good) APIs, but still.
gollark: An issue with the Raspberry Pi and stuff for computing education is that they separate "programmable computers" and "normal computers" and might make people think they can't do interesting stuff with what they already have.
gollark: I guess so.
