Germaine Race

Germaine Race (born April 7, 1985 in Kansas City, Missouri) is a former American football running back. He was originally signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Pittsburg State. Race also played professionally in Austrian Football League in 2010.

Early years

Race attended Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg, Missouri, and was a student and a letterman in football. In football, he was a two-year starter. As a senior, Race rushed for 2,069 yards and 29 touchdowns and was a first team Missouri Class 4A All-State selection. As a junior, Race rushed for 1,785 yards and 19 touchdowns. Race was released by the Chargers on 6/20/08.

2010 Professional season

Race played 2010 for the St. Pölten Generali Invaders in Austria, where he was the topscorer of the 2010 Austrian Football League. He was also named the 2010 Austrian Football League Offensive Player of the Year.[1]
