Georgia World Congress Center Department of Public Safety
The Georgia World Congress Center Department of Public Safety is a law enforcement agency in the city of Atlanta, Georgia.
The Georgia World Congress Center Department of Public Safety was created by an act of the state legislature in 1995, known as HB 1475.[1]
Although the GWCCA Police Department enjoys statewide jurisdiction, its primary obligation is to protect the 2,300,000-square-foot (210,000 m2) Congress Center, as well as the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park.[2]
The Georgia World Congress Center Department of Public Safety has both a police officer division as well as a security officer division.
The department has a fully functional bike patrol, Segway patrol and vehicle patrol.
