Biography

Wyndham was educated at Harrow School and Trinity College, Cambridge.[1] He is recorded as a batsman and bowler for Cambridge University in two matches in 1820 and 1821, totalling 12 runs with a highest score of 6 and taking 7 wickets.[2]

In 1824 Wyndham travelled to Canada with the novelist John Galt. He returned to Europe and in 1827 emigrated to Australia, where he settled near Branxton, New South Wales. His property was called Dalwood and grew into what is now a successful winery, the Wyndham Estate.[3]
