Miller started his music career during the 1980s as a guitarist, touring with Nik Kershaw's backing band The Krew.[8] In 1988, Miller was Musical Director for Deon Estus, who opened for several shows on George Michael's The Faith Tour. The Musical Director for George Michael was Chris Cameron.[9] During Miller's long-spanning career, he was also MD and guitarist for the 30-year reunion tour for British Pop duo Bros, twin brothers Matt and Luke Goss, in 2017. The Bros Live 2017 Tour filled The O2 arena in London two nights in a row. However, all concerts of the tour that were scheduled outside of London were cancelled due to weak ticket sales.[10]

Miller moved to Malibu, California, in 2006,[11] where he started working as an independent producer on songs for various artists, including remixes of three Katy Perry[12] songs, which did not get released. In 2014, Miller started the Rock Against Trafficking foundation, which records and plans on releasing album projects to raise money and awareness to fight human trafficking. The first, partly released, Rock Against Trafficking (RAT) album project, which was produced by Miller, is called "Set Them Free", and features The Police and Sting covers performed by various well-known artists, such as members of the rock band Journey, Heart, Carlos Santana, Slash, Julian Lennon, Ellis Hall, and En Vogue.[13][12] The RAT flagship song "Stand Up" is an original co-written by Miller with new artist AV!VA, and performed by AV!VA. "Roxanne", the first single from the album project, which was performed by Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple, has been independently released on 11 January 2018.[13][12] The second single "Synchronicity II", performed by Neal Schon and Arnel Pineda of the rock group Journey, had a soft independent release in May 2018.[14] The release of additional singles from the "Set Them Free" album was still pending as of July 6, 2020.

gollark: Otherwise something like `SELECT *, (SELECT * FROM posts WHERE thread = threads.id ORDER BY created DESC) FROM threads` I think.
gollark: Well, I might go for putting a `newest_post_id` field in thread.
gollark: Maybe discord were BEES and rate limited it? I hope not.
gollark: It changed just now.
gollark: I sometimes deliberately avoid trailing newlines, for purposes.
