Gary Archibald
Gary Archibald is a Canadian meteorologist, journalist and television anchor. He is currently the meteorologist for CTV Windsor. Archibald was a national anchor for The Weather Network from 2002-2004 and 2010–2015. He was an NBC Weather Plus weathercaster for NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC from 2006 to 2009. He has also appeared as a correspondent on NBC's number one rated programs - The Today Show and NBC Nightly News. He was a regular reporter on NBC Early Today Show, and MSNBC's Morning Joe hosted by Joe Scarborough. He is a trained reporter and anchor who has specialized in weather and sports. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Gary Archibald is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Centennial College, and Mississippi State University.
Since 1996, Archibald has worked as a professional model throughout North America, originally represented by Elite Model Management (Toronto)- and later by Ford Models (Toronto & New York). He is also an actor (since 1997), who has appeared in numerous television commercials. He had a small role in the 2004 film Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.[1]
His first reporting work was with Rogers Television in Toronto (2000–2002) as a sportscaster and reporter covering the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Archibald's first experience covering weather was 2002–2004 at The Weather Network. He then became the morning weather anchor for Global Television (Toronto) for a year in 2005, followed by holding the position as the York Region Transit correspondent for A-Channel Barrie in 2006.
